Clara Francesca (AU/IT), Anne Wichmann (She’s Excited!) (DE), Letizia Artioli (IT), Luca Cacini (IT) Inescapable Entanglement is a posthumous narration of the emotional reaction to the climate change crisis. We ask “How can technology serve us?” while acknowledging that “Solastalgia” (distress caused by environmental change) is on the rise in societies. At the intersection of performance (Chekhov’s play Uncle Vanya), AR (live climate change metrics), soundscapes and biometric data visualization of physiological responses, we invite audiences to discover possibilities of living on an intrinsically entangled planet. - You Are BUTIFL: Tackling AI fears through interactive play 2023

“Banned! | Gabriel Barcia-Colombo, Benita de Wit | Performance Art Series Event
The Secret Society of Forbidden Literature presents a one night interactive performance entitled Banned! taking place within Mid-Manhattan Library. Created by Gabriel Barcia-Colombo and Benita de Wit, the performance places viewers in an alternate library reality where censored books come to life in a series of secret bespoke performances throughout the library. The performance commences incrementally in the Corner Room on the 1st floor. This is not a sit-down performance, rather a unique exploratory experience where the audience is invited to become part of the performance. Special Secret Society of Forbidden Literature pins are given away at the event.”

“The Secret Society of Forbidden Literature is a public art installation at New York Public Library’s Mid-Manhattan branch about banned books. The installation offers unique modes of entry into the discussion of censored books including burned books, LED signs and custom perfumes. LED signs hang in the windows of the Corner Room facing the street. These LED signs contain passages from books such as Alice in Wonderland, Beloved, Leaves of Grass, and Slaughterhouse-Five. These passages at one time or another contributed to the books’ censorship. The placement of the LEDs are symbolic, these books that have a sordid history inside libraries, are now represented inside the library looking out at the public.”
